MEETING NOTES-FRIENDS OF DONALD PARK, INC.  MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Following are meeting notes of the May meeting which was held at the Springdale Town Hall.  Due to absences of board members to form a quorum, no formal meeting was held.

MEMBERSHIP/COMMUNICATIONS: 

 

 

WEBSITE:  Pat Schultz is still trying to make contact with Anne Watman who has offered to work on our website going forward.

 

VOLUNTEER COORDINATION:  Bob Dettwiler

Bob reported that the Tuesday volunteers are working on the multi-use trail that goes to the Sweet Farm.  Chris James and Darren Marsh will be doing the signing on the trail.  The next trail project will be the Hitchcock Ridge Trail which is a hiking trail.

 

NATURAL AREAS:  None

 

EQUESTRIAN TRAILS:  Roger Parr

Work was done trimming at the trail head along the gravel road and back to the hayfield.  Roger noted the culver needs replacing.  Dave Hughes will be mowing the hay around the trail head for one more year

 

EDUCATION AND INTERPRETATION: Matt Marty

The Historical/Cultural volunteers will be working for the next month at the cabin site.  The marker needs to be removed for restoration of the foundation.  The first meeting was held and Matt Marty has agreed to lead until Mike Coffey can return to being chair. 

 

EVENTS: Vickie Peterson

Bob Dettwiler submitted a report on the Mothers Day Event.  A meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd to work on details of the FatherÕs Day event.

**Action Items

**Tractor – Matt Marty had donated his tractor and mower to the Friends of Donald Park.  Bob DettwilerÕs sister has donated a riding lawn mower to mow the trails.

**Scout Campout – Troop 62 will be camping June 18-20 and will be looking for projects.  Adrian Barta and Phil Johnson will work with them on the Apple Tree monitoring. 

 

REVIEW AND APPROVE BILLS:  

Bills were approved via email in advance of the meeting.  Reimbursement to David Ward $62.70 for printing and Annual Postal Box Rent of $60.
